Men aged 50 and over

At 50, you have to stay in the race, appear young and healthy in order to compete with the new generation, not only in the world of work but also in society. 50-year-old men are not looking for youthfulness but want to look fit in a world where stress and fatigue should not be seen.
Unlike women, men care little about wrinkles – men know that they are part of their charm – but want to project a less harsh and less tired image. They expect aesthetic treatments to make them look fresher but not necessarily younger. Looking dynamic at 50 is a form of well-being.

Men's desire is to have effective, non-invasive treatments without social exclusion.

Hyaluronic acid injection

As we age, men's bodies, like women's, produce less and less hyaluronic acid.
The 4 structures of the face change. The bone thins, the muscle shortens, the fat atrophies and shifts, the skin relaxes.

The consequence is simple: the eyes become smaller, the cheeks become hollow, the nasolabial folds become marked, the temples become skeletonized, the jowls become established.

In 50-year-old men, dark circles highlight bags. For bags, surgery is the right solution.

Furthermore, the orbital part deepens, becomes skeletonized and gives off a tired or even sick appearance. Volumizing hyaluronic acid helps support sagging skin and restore volume to the face, particularly at the temples, sunken cheeks and rounding chin. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most active moisturizing components of the dermis. Regenerating it through localized injections helps to tone and restore youthfulness to your face. The effects are immediate and restore a rested air.

Injection for treatment of dynamic wrinkles (upper facial wrinkles) in men

In humans, we are seeking to optimize facial expression by strengthening the structure of the features. The request is, in no case, to have a smooth forehead. The idea is to find a relaxed and rested expression.

For the upper part of the face, treatment by injections is most recommended. The injections will reduce the furrows on the forehead and open the eyes. It is also possible to reposition the eyebrow.

These injections are carried out to reduce strongly expressed muscular wrinkles (frown lines, forehead wrinkles, smile lines) which permanently mark the skin, conveying a severe or anxious appearance.

Medical blepharoplasty to enlarge the eyes

Over the years, sagging of the eyelid leads to excess skin. The eyelid becomes heavy, lowers the gaze and gives a sad look to the face.
The consequences of this excess skin are multiple:

  • A more closed look…
  • A sad look...
  • And sometimes discomfort for the patient on a daily basis who has the impression of having a weight on the eye.

In aesthetic medicine, there is an alternative to surgery, a non-invasive technique that allows you to reduce this excess skin and open your eyes: a laser treatment called PLexr.

Laser treatment stimulates the production of new, thicker collagen which will re-densify the eyelid and combat this sagging. This is a technique allowing retraction of the skin by surface action, without reflection and without heat transfer into the underlying tissues. There is no bleeding or scarring.

The session takes place under an anesthetic cream applied one hour before the act, and lasts on average 20 to 30 minutes.
The consequences are marked by slight swelling of the eyelids for 24 to 48 hours. Fine crusts fall off on the 3rd day. The pinkness of the eyelid sometimes persists for up to a month.

It is advisable to apply high factor sun protection for 2-3 months.

2 to 3 sessions are necessary (depending on the excess tissue to be removed) 6 weeks apart to obtain a result equivalent to that of a surgical blepharoplasty.

This technique also makes it possible to intervene on dermatological lesions (xanthelasma, warts, skin growths) or scar imperfections, where it is very difficult to use the laser.

Injection for hyperhidrosis

Treatment with injections under the armpits helps stop excessive sweating, which is smelly and very often annoying in men.

The results appear between 4 and 10 days after the injections and last up to 9 months, for greater comfort in summer and winter.

Cryolipolysis to remove bulges

At 50, a man's silhouette thickens with localized fatty deposits: love handle, abdomen, chin, etc.
It is possible to make these bulges disappear using cryolipolysis using CoolSculpting® technology.

Cryolipolysis by CoolSculpting® refines and redefines the silhouette. It is based on the principle of apoptosis. By bringing the targeted area to low temperature (-8°C) for 30 minutes, the destruction of approximately 30% of fat cells (adipocytes) occurs without damaging the nerves or muscles. The natural elimination of the cells initially destroyed takes place over the 3 months following the session, leading to the gradual reduction of the fatty fold. I use CoolSculpting® cryolipolysis (the only machine with FDA approval in the United States) for optimal results and total safety.

Hair loss: mesotherapy and LED

Alopecia is often genetic but can also occur after great stress, drug treatment, an unbalanced diet or tobacco consumption and exposure to the sun.

At age 50, alopecia is stabilized, but hair quality deteriorates: the aging of the hair follicle promotes fine, brittle, depigmented and sparse hair.

This loss can be treated using Mesotherapy, coupled with LED.

A medical treatment protocol combining a mesotherapy technique and LED lamp will prevent, slow down and stimulate regrowth. It will be effective in the treatment of androgenic alopecia as well as post-hair transplant.

A cytoprotective solution with anti-oxidant and moisturizing properties is injected by micropuncture into the scalp. The transdermal application of growth factors and nutritional factors (iron, proteins, zinc, vitamins B, A, E) by micro-needling ensures at the same time stimulation of microcirculation by mechanical effect and penetration of growth factors.

After disinfection of the scalp, the active mixture is applied and the mesoPen is made several consecutive times over the area to be treated. Then, an LED lamp session is carried out to optimize the revival of cellular functions and the improvement of local micro-circulation, while ensuring an anti-sebum effect.

You must perform 1 session every 15 days for 3 months then 1 session per month for 4 to 5 months. The pace is then adapted on a case-by-case basis.

The treatment is not painful.

We gradually observe a reduction in hair loss and an increase in hair growth in balding areas as well as an increase in the density and quality of hair on the periphery (shinier, more elastic, stronger and repigmented hair).

Radio frequency

Monopolar Radiofrequency treatment coupled with focused ultrasound helps strengthen existing collagen fibers that have weakened over time, for smoother, more supple and firmer skin. This technique is used on the body and face.

Radiofrequency is based on the emission of high frequency electrical waves which penetrate the skin and generate an increase in the heat of the dermis (middle layer of the skin), which will stimulate the production of collagen at the cell level. Radiofrequency stimulates and tightens existing collagen fibers, giving the skin a firmer, tighter appearance.

An average of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart is recommended. Then, an interview of one session per quarter is recommended.
Radiofrequency skin sagging treatment is suitable for all skin types, even tanned skin: it is therefore possible all year round. It takes 60 minutes per session.

Brown age spots

Brown spots appear with age and are mainly due to too much sun. They are lodged on the face, hands, arms….
Some brown spots are also of congenital origin. This should not be confused with pigmented dermatological lesions (such as nevi, for example) which should not be treated with laser.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) will reduce or even permanently eliminate these marks of time. The heat emitted by light (IPL) destroys the melanin accumulated on the surface of the skin, in the epidermal layer. This technique is not very painful and is performed with protective glasses. The treatment leaves a crust on each stain which falls off in 21 days. The skin, barely pink, gradually returns to its normal color. This treatment does not lead to social exclusion.

For good effectiveness, 2 sessions are necessary. The skin should not be tanned.

If the spots are dermal, the treatment will be carried out with trichloroacetic acid (TCA) in order to eliminate the pigment which has infiltrated the dermis. A brown crust (similar to treatment with liquid nitrogen) disappears in 5 days to leave a pink mark.

Rosacea, rosacea, and small red vessels on the face

Rosacea and rosacea give a permanent red appearance to the face.

Thanks to the Nd Yag laser and I2PL (Intense Pulsed Light), it is possible to treat the different stages of erythrorosacea or rosacea in 1 to 4 sessions spaced at least 4 weeks apart. This involves destroying the superficial vessels of the dermis and reducing localized inflammation of the skin. The “flush” (redness occurring in cases of emotion, hot or cold or drinking alcoholic beverages) is greatly reduced.

A treatment session usually begins with the application of a cold gel to the skin. Although rarely necessary, a numbing cream may also be applied, for greater comfort. We then travel over the surface of the skin with the handpiece which has an integrated cooling system allowing the temperature of the epidermis to be controlled.

The session lasts around twenty minutes for a face with eye protection.

Immediately after treatment, the skin is red, but this erythema generally disappears within a few hours. However, it may persist for one or two days for particularly sensitive people.

Several days are often necessary to observe the first improvements. Then, these improvements can continue gradually over the 4 weeks following each session.

A maintenance session can be considered approximately every 18 months. It is strongly recommended not to expose yourself to the sun after the session for 1 month.

Kleresca® for skin quality

Kleresca® treatment improves the quality of the skin on the face and neck. It promotes the smoothing of fine lines, reduction of pore size, and increase in collagen production.

The technology works by stimulating the skin at the cellular level. Specific LED light waves interact with a patented photoconverter gel, inducing the conversion of light into dynamic, hyperpulsed fluorescent energy that stimulates collagen formation.

The protocol includes 4 sessions, one session per week.

The treatment is pleasant, with patients describing a warm sensation during the fluorescence procedure which lasts only 9 minutes. No social eviction is to be expected. Treatment is possible in winter and summer.
