Radiofrequency acts on adipose tissue. Its effects are primarily the result of metabolic stimulation and increased lipase activity (degrading triglycerides to free fatty acids and glycerol), as well as induction of apoptosis.

Radiofrequency emits electromagnetic waves (300 MHz–3 KHz), generating heat through tissue resistance. Unlike lasers, monopolar radio frequency is capable of treating the skin from the surface to deep tissues (2.5 cm).

The consequences are usually simple and minimal and the positive effects on the collagen content of the tissues were evaluated at 20% after 3 months.

Exilis Elite uses radio frequency optimally with real-time control of power and comfort. This machine offers a radical and dynamic approach, with a system allowing you to quickly obtain a temperature of 40-45°C in the targeted areas for 4 to 7 minutes, with a feeling of comfortable heat. A handpiece in perpetual motion allows large areas to be treated comfortably.

The major specificity of Exilis Elite is to couple radiofrequency with ultrasound which induces a specific thermal effect, affecting the membrane cells and tissue septae. It also induces vasodilation and hyperemia allowing deeper and more homogeneous penetration of energy into adipose tissues. Furthermore, it is very likely that this hyperemia induces neovascularization and local metabolic awakening, promoting long-term fatty remodeling.

Furthermore, the device is equipped with numerous control systems, ensuring minimal consequences and maximum security:

a Peltier type cooling system, precise and adjusted according to the targeted treatment depth,
real-time infrared control of impedance (1000 times per second), contact and tissue temperature,
a device for eliminating the risks of sparks, arcs and peaks.

Finally, this action on the fatty septae explains the prolonged beneficial effects observed on cellulite. After 2 months, up to 50% of apoptotic cells are observed after treatment (L. Panek, 2009).

Cellulite and fat remodeling: the session

You must be well hydrated for an effective and comfortable treatment. We recommend drinking 2 liters of water the day before, the day of treatment and the day after.

Improvement of cellulite
