Calm the fire of acne, rosacea and reduce wrinkles with light

The difference is in the fluorescence thanks to Kléresca

Today, more and more patients want to improve their skin quality using non-invasive, effective techniques without side effects. To meet this demand for natural results and especially painless procedures, new technologies are emerging.

BioPhotonics

An innovation in the field of dermatology and medical aesthetics, this is a new approach to treating the overall quality of the skin. Bio-photonic technology transforms light energy to stimulate or regulate cellular activity in the skin.
I have been using the action of LEDs for several years to promote rapid tissue repair after my Laser, IPL or Peeling treatments. With this new technique, the aim is to generate the emission of multiple wavelengths in order to penetrate the different layers of the skin, and deeply stimulate the cells and tissues.

The Kleresca method

It is a new non-invasive treatment technique for acne, based on photobiomodulation (light therapy). It was born from a collaboration between Klox Technologies (Canadian) and the pharmaceutical laboratory Leo Pharma (Danish). It has been marketed abroad since 2014 and in France since early 2018. Unlike other traditional treatments, there is no destruction or elimination of the skin's natural protective barriers.

The principle

Based on the principle of photosynthesis, the Kleresca® multi-LED lamp (emission of specific pre-programmed wavelengths) illuminates a photo-converter gel containing chromophores which will convert the emitted light into dynamic and hyperpulsed fluorescence. This fluorescence will penetrate the different layers of the skin and stimulate the skin's intrinsic cellular repair mechanisms.
For acne, blue LED light, applied to the skin is converted by a gel into dynamic fluorescent energy, pulsed ultra-rapidly, which covers all wavelengths of visible light (blue, yellow, red which penetrate at different depths of the skin). The goal: to eliminate the bacteria responsible for acne, reduce inflammation, normalize cellular activity and stimulate collagen synthesis to fade any unsightly scars.

Acne treatment

Patients no longer want traditional treatments for treat acne, worried about the side effects they can cause. The fact remains that some patients experience therapeutic failure. Or refuse to take medicinal treatments, because they fear their side effects (skin irritations, photosensitization, digestive and depressive disorders with medications taken by mouth). Result: more and more doctors are looking for alternative solutions for this delicate patient population.

Kleresca, an anti-aging treatment

Kleresca is a treatment adapted to fight against aging. After such treatment, the patient regains smooth skin. This treatment also works on the quality of the skin and reduces the size of pores but also fine lines. Collagen production is stimulated.

How does a Kleresca session take place?

The skin is removed, cleansed, the eyes are protected. I then apply an orange “converter” gel evenly to the face. The blue light diffused on the face is then immediately absorbed by the gel and the latter restores it in fluorescence. The treatment lasts 9 minutes. At the end of this first session, the gel is removed with a spatula. I repeat the operation with the same time of 9 minutes. At the end of the session, the face is rinsed. I ask the patient to apply sunscreen.

And after a Kleresca treatment?

The skin may be red with a feeling of heat, but this does not last. You can wear makeup if you want. The Kleresca protocol includes 6 sessions spaced one week apart. The results appear over the course of the sessions but the real improvement comes after 2 to 3 months. I may recommend a maintenance session during the year.
To improve skin quality, the protocol includes 4 sessions, one session per week.
Are there any contraindications to benefit from Kleresca treatment?
Treatment is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
Kleresca can be done all year round with good sun protection and is also easily practiced on the neckline and back. It acts on all forms of acne, regardless of their degree of severity.

In conclusion

Kleresca bio-photonic fluorescence presents multiple benefits for my patients in both dermatology and medical aesthetics: non-invasive, painless, simple, effective, natural and lasting results and perfectly complements my therapeutic arsenal.
